C2C Cycle Path
Of course the cycle path is not just for cycling!! .. cycle, jog, walk the dog .. this is an image from the cycle path just moments from the cottage.
Dent Fell
Dent Fell dominates the landscape and the Cottage has great views of the Fell.
Flat Fell and Dent are two of Wainwrights Outlying Fells of the Lakeland. Thisis a view from the summit.
St Bees Head
St. Bees Head is a red sandstone bluff and forms on the most dramatic natural features along the cost of North West England. St Bees Head supports a cliff nesting seabird colony and forms part of the coast to coast walk. St. Bees Head is approx 15 minutes drive from the cottage
Ennerdale Water
Ennerdale Water is a glacial lake surrounded by impressive mountains and utter peace. Park at Bleach Green car park (just 10 minutes drive from the cottage) to enjoy a wonderful walk around the lake.
Loweswater
A peaceful lake nestled in a wooded valley surrounded by magnificent fells. Just stroll around the lake or climb the surrounding fells including Blake Fell, Burnbank Fell, Gavel Fell, Hen Comb and the Melbreak. Parking near Loweswater Hall is just 20 minutes drive from the cottage.
Cogra Moss
Enjoy a short walk around the reservoir or take the longer walk up to Blake Fell and be rewarded with fantastic view of the northern lake district fells, Scotland, the Solway Coast and Isle of Man. Parking at Felldyke Car Park is just a 15 minute drive away.
