Just 10 minutes away is the town of Cockermouth with a wide range of shops eateries and pubs, also the birth place of William Wordsworth.or you could spend a day enjoying the many attractions of  Keswick, which is just 25 minutes away.

Within easy reach are the coastal towns of St Bees, Whitehaven and Maryport boasting long pebble and sandy beaches which enjoy spectacular sunsets.

A little gem of a cottage ideally placed to explore the lake district and west coast. Springfield is in a quiet location in a small rural hamlet. The cottage was cozy and warm when we arrived and has a well equipped kitchen with dining area overlooking the enclosed and pretty garden. It’s deceptively spacious inside and we made great use of the conservatory at the back of the house which is ideal for curling up with a book or enjoying an evening glass or too . Liz made sure we had everything we needed for our arrival inc ingredients for a cuppa ! We will definitely be rebooking again

We stayed at Springfield which is a beautiful place to stay. The cottage is well appointed with a real homely feel and the garden is an excellent place to relax - real sun trap! Lots to explore, we really enjoyed walking at Buttermere and Derwentwater, the views are spectacular. We will definitely be back!
